Old School RuneScape — Which games actually respect a five-minute session?

Third attempt at getting this right, so bear with me. What confuses me is that it behaves differently depending on the order I do things in.

The default settings are clearly tuned for a different setup than mine. Feel free to tell me I have missed something obvious.

This comes up a lot, so: the averages hide the problem; look at the one percent lows instead.

Good luck, it is a common snag.

Agreed on most of this, except it is almost always a setting rather than hardware, so try the free fixes before spending anything.

That fixed it for me, at least.

Slightly different take — keep a note of what you changed, otherwise you cannot undo it cleanly later.

This is the bit people miss — the safe move is the reversible one — you can always undo it if it makes things worse.

In my testing, keep a note of what you changed, otherwise you cannot undo it cleanly later.

Report back once you have tried it.

I went through this last month. verify the files before anything else; it catches more problems than people expect.

From experience, give it a clean reinstall before assuming the hardware is at fault.

Worth a shot before anything drastic.

In my testing, worth testing on a second account to rule out something profile-specific.

Had the exact same issue. you get most of the benefit from the first adjustment; everything after that is marginal.
