   Posting from the other side of a very long troubleshooting session. Half the advice online is a year out of date, which is why I wanted a current thread. Any pointers appreciated, even partial ones.

   Same boat here. give it a clean reinstall before assuming the hardware is at fault. That fixed it for me, at least.
