RAID: Shadow Legends

Writing this up while it is fresh, because I will forget the details otherwise. I do not want to sink more time or money into it before I understand what I am optimising for.

Hoping someone can sanity-check my reasoning before I commit to it. I compared notes with a friend and we got completely different outcomes on similar hardware.

Posting from the other side of a very long troubleshooting session. What confuses me is that it behaves differently depending on the order I do things in.

Quick one for the people who have put more hours into this than me. I assumed it was a known issue, but I cannot find anyone else describing it.

Posting this mostly so the next person searching finds an answer. I tested it across a couple of sessions and the difference was smaller than the forums made it sound.

Adding my findings in case they help someone. It only shows up after about twenty minutes, which made it a nightmare to reproduce.

Spent most of the weekend on this and I am still not sure I understand it. My results were consistent across three attempts, so I do not think it was luck.
