Spider 10 team check before I commit gear — veteran perspective

Adding my findings in case they help someone. It only shows up after about twenty minutes, which made it a nightmare to reproduce.

The patch notes hinted at this but never actually spelled it out. Would rather learn the right way now than build a bad habit.

Quick correction to the above: the safe move is the reversible one — you can always undo it if it makes things worse.

Short version: the trick is to change one thing at a time and actually note the result before touching anything else.

Speaking as someone who got it wrong initially, the wiki number is theoretical; real results are always a bit lower.
