Brawl Stars — Best phones for gaming without overheating

Finally worked this out, so here is the write-up I wish I had found. What confuses me is that it behaves differently depending on the order I do things in.

Finally worked this out, so here is the write-up I wish I had found. What confuses me is that it behaves differently depending on the order I do things in.

Half the advice online is a year out of date, which is why I wanted a current thread. Marking this solved once something actually works.

Quick correction to the above: you get most of the benefit from the first adjustment; everything after that is marginal.

Report back once you have tried it.

Short version: the defaults are conservative on purpose, so there is usually headroom to gain.

Same boat here. keep a note of what you changed, otherwise you cannot undo it cleanly later.

This comes up a lot, so: this changed for me after the last patch, so older threads may steer you wrong.

Only partly related, but if it only happens in one mode, that narrows it down considerably.

Good luck, it is a common snag.

Depends on your setup, but broadly keep a note of what you changed, otherwise you cannot undo it cleanly later.

Speaking as someone who got it wrong initially, temperature is the usual culprit when performance degrades over a session.

Quick correction to the above: do not copy someone else’s config wholesale — start from defaults and adjust to your own setup.

Worth checking first: the difference is real but small enough that you may not notice it while playing.

This is the bit people miss — the trick is to change one thing at a time and actually note the result before touching anything else.

Agreed on most of this, except worth testing on a second account to rule out something profile-specific.

Depends on your setup, but broadly it is almost always a setting rather than hardware, so try the free fixes before spending anything.

Others may have a cleaner method.

Short version: the community guide covers this better than I can, but the summary is to prioritise the basics first.

For what it is worth, region and server load matter more than most guides acknowledge.

Speaking as someone who got it wrong initially, measure before and after, otherwise you are just guessing whether it helped.

Worth checking first: the wiki number is theoretical; real results are always a bit lower.

Worth a shot before anything drastic.
