   VALORANT — Purchase went through but nothing was credited

   Every guide I can find skips the part I am actually stuck on. The thing that keeps tripping me up is that everyone assumes you already know the basics, and the wiki is out of date. Once it clicked, it felt obvious, but getting there took far longer than it should have. Still open to better approaches if anyone has one.

   Only partly related, but it is almost always a setting rather than hardware, so try the free fixes before spending anything.

   Depends on your setup, but broadly give it a clean reinstall before assuming the hardware is at fault. Others may have a cleaner method.

   Counterpoint: do not copy someone else’s config wholesale — start from defaults and adjust to your own setup. That fixed it for me, at least.
