   Low stakes question, but it has been bugging me for weeks. It behaves as expected on one account and not on another, same device.

    I went through this last month. the defaults are conservative on purpose, so there is usually headroom to gain.

    This comes up a lot, so: do not copy someone else’s config wholesale — start from defaults and adjust to your own setup.

    Adding to the above: nine times out of ten it is a driver or a background process, not the thing you suspect.

    Good luck, it is a common snag.
