   Reposting with more detail after my last thread got no traction. The patch notes hinted at this but never actually spelled it out. The community consensus seems to have shifted twice since I last played. Let me know if more detail would help.

   Launcher settings people forget to change

   Not the answer you want, but that behaviour is intentional, even though it is poorly explained in-game. Report back once you have tried it.

   Worth checking first: the wiki number is theoretical; real results are always a bit lower.

   The usual fix here is do not copy someone else’s config wholesale — start from defaults and adjust to your own setup. That fixed it for me, at least.

   I went through this last month. do the cheap diagnostic first — it costs nothing and rules out half the causes. Others may have a cleaner method.
