Launcher settings people forget to change

Posting this mostly so the next person searching finds an answer. My results were consistent across three attempts, so I do not think it was luck.

I compared notes with a friend and we got completely different outcomes on similar hardware. Let me know if more detail would help.

Speaking as someone who got it wrong initially, do not copy someone else’s config wholesale — start from defaults and adjust to your own setup.

Not the answer you want, but that behaviour is intentional, even though it is poorly explained in-game.

Had the exact same issue. do the cheap diagnostic first — it costs nothing and rules out half the causes.

Same boat here. the wiki number is theoretical; real results are always a bit lower.
