   Worth checking first: you get most of the benefit from the first adjustment; everything after that is marginal.

   Would you recommend Genshin Impact to a total beginner?

   Adding my findings in case they help someone. The difference only becomes obvious once you look at the frame times rather than the average. The in-game explanation and the actual behaviour do not appear to match. I can post logs or screenshots if that would make this easier to diagnose.

   Not the answer you want, but the safe move is the reversible one — you can always undo it if it makes things worse. Others may have a cleaner method.

   Speaking as someone who got it wrong initially, the defaults are conservative on purpose, so there is usually headroom to gain.

    Quick one for the people who have put more hours into this than me. Rolling back to the previous version made the problem disappear entirely. Everything I read suggests it should just work, and for me it very much does not. Hopefully this saves someone else the afternoon it cost me.
