Anyone else burned out on Clash Royale?

This started as a small annoyance and turned into a proper rabbit hole. I do not want to sink more time or money into it before I understand what I am optimising for.

The numbers look fine on paper, but it feels noticeably worse in practice. If someone has a link to a proper explanation, I will take it.

I went through this last month. the difference is real but small enough that you may not notice it while playing.

Worth a shot before anything drastic.

Agreed on most of this, except measure before and after, otherwise you are just guessing whether it helped.

Adding to the above: this changed for me after the last patch, so older threads may steer you wrong.

Others may have a cleaner method.

This is the bit people miss — that behaviour is intentional, even though it is poorly explained in-game.

Good luck, it is a common snag.

Counterpoint: give it a clean reinstall before assuming the hardware is at fault.

Same boat here. the safe move is the reversible one — you can always undo it if it makes things worse.

Good luck, it is a common snag.

Counterpoint: it depends heavily on your specific setup, so take any single number with a grain of salt.

Slightly different take — it depends heavily on your specific setup, so take any single number with a grain of salt.

Worth a shot before anything drastic.

Short version: the defaults are conservative on purpose, so there is usually headroom to gain.

Had the exact same issue. do not copy someone else’s config wholesale — start from defaults and adjust to your own setup.

Same boat here. keep a note of what you changed, otherwise you cannot undo it cleanly later.

The usual fix here is keep a note of what you changed, otherwise you cannot undo it cleanly later.

Worth checking first: the community guide covers this better than I can, but the summary is to prioritise the basics first.

Good luck, it is a common snag.

Counterpoint: temperature is the usual culprit when performance degrades over a session.

From experience, check whether an overlay is running before blaming the game itself.

Others may have a cleaner method.

This is the bit people miss — if it only happens in one mode, that narrows it down considerably.
