Fortnite — Do you wait for historical lows or buy on release?

Writing this up while it is fresh, because I will forget the details otherwise. It only shows up after about twenty minutes, which made it a nightmare to reproduce.

I tested it across a couple of sessions and the difference was smaller than the forums made it sound. Any pointers appreciated, even partial ones.

Quick correction to the above: keep a note of what you changed, otherwise you cannot undo it cleanly later.

Depends on your setup, but broadly this changed for me after the last patch, so older threads may steer you wrong.

For what it is worth, region and server load matter more than most guides acknowledge.

Same boat here. that behaviour is intentional, even though it is poorly explained in-game.

Agreed on most of this, except nine times out of ten it is a driver or a background process, not the thing you suspect.
