Your first session

The opening campaign stages exist to teach turn order and affinity, so play them manually instead of using auto-battle. You will notice quickly that a single debuff can change how much damage your team takes across a whole fight.

Do not spend summoning resources in your first hour. Early events and campaign rewards hand out enough champions to build a functional team, and holding resources lets you spend them during a fusion or double-drop event instead.

  • Play the first chapter manually to learn skill order.
  • Keep summoning resources until an event is active.
  • Upgrade one champion set instead of spreading gear thin.

Building a balanced starter team

A workable early team has four roles: a damage dealer, a healer, a debuffer that lowers enemy defence or attack, and a champion that generates turn meter or speed. Once those roles are filled, most early content becomes a gear problem rather than a roster problem.

Speed is the stat that quietly decides fights. A slower team can lose to a weaker one simply because it acts second, so prioritise speed on your support champions before adding more raw attack.

Where to spend energy

Campaign farming is the safest early sink because it feeds both experience and upgrade material. Once your main team can auto-clear a stage reliably, move on rather than over-farming it.

Dungeons should be entered as soon as you can survive them, even at low levels — gear from dungeons scales better than campaign drops and unlocks the rest of your progression.
