Auto-battle versus manual for hard content

Genuine question, not trying to start anything. The difference only becomes obvious once you look at the frame times rather than the average.

The in-game explanation and the actual behaviour do not appear to match. Curious whether that matches what everyone else is seeing.

Only partly related, but worth testing on a second account to rule out something profile-specific.

Counterpoint: you get most of the benefit from the first adjustment; everything after that is marginal.

That fixed it for me, at least.

The usual fix here is give it a clean reinstall before assuming the hardware is at fault.
