Neverness to Everness — Is 16 GB of RAM still enough in 2026?
Finally worked this out, so here is the write-up I wish I had found. I tested it across a couple of sessions and the difference was smaller than the forums made it sound.

I assumed it was a known issue, but I cannot find anyone else describing it. I will report back once I have tested it properly.

Had the exact same issue. region and server load matter more than most guides acknowledge.

Speaking as someone who got it wrong initially, the trick is to change one thing at a time and actually note the result before touching anything else.
Others may have a cleaner method.

Not the answer you want, but do the cheap diagnostic first — it costs nothing and rules out half the causes.

Worth checking first: if it only happens in one mode, that narrows it down considerably.

Had the exact same issue. verify the files before anything else; it catches more problems than people expect.

Adding to the above: it depends heavily on your specific setup, so take any single number with a grain of salt.
Let us know which part worked.

Same boat here. the trick is to change one thing at a time and actually note the result before touching anything else.

From experience, that behaviour is intentional, even though it is poorly explained in-game.

This is the bit people miss — the trick is to change one thing at a time and actually note the result before touching anything else.
