Do you cap your frame rate on purpose?

Coming back after a long break and trying to catch up. What confuses me is that it behaves differently depending on the order I do things in.

What actually changed my results was slowing down and reading the tooltips properly instead of rushing. Interested in the counter-argument if there is one.

Agreed on most of this, except verify the files before anything else; it catches more problems than people expect.
