Would you recommend Old School RuneScape to a total beginner?

Third attempt at getting this right, so bear with me. The in-game explanation and the actual behaviour do not appear to match.

It only shows up after about twenty minutes, which made it a nightmare to reproduce. Interested in the counter-argument if there is one.

Speaking as someone who got it wrong initially, you get most of the benefit from the first adjustment; everything after that is marginal.

Adding to the above: region and server load matter more than most guides acknowledge.

Adding to the above: do not copy someone else’s config wholesale — start from defaults and adjust to your own setup.
