Playing on a schedule versus playing whenever

Not a complaint, just genuinely puzzled by the behaviour. It behaves as expected on one account and not on another, same device.

The thing that keeps tripping me up is that everyone assumes you already know the basics, and the wiki is out of date. Still open to better approaches if anyone has one.
