[VALORANT] Refurbished GPUs — anyone had a good experience?

Posting from the other side of a very long troubleshooting session. The community consensus seems to have shifted twice since I last played.

My results were consistent across three attempts, so I do not think it was luck. Any pointers appreciated, even partial ones.
