Is a gaming mouse worth it over a normal one?

Apologies if this has been covered — the older threads are all locked. It seems to depend heavily on region, which nobody mentions anywhere.

Apologies if this has been covered — the older threads are all locked. It seems to depend heavily on region, which nobody mentions anywhere.

My results were consistent across three attempts, so I do not think it was luck. Let me know if more detail would help.

Same boat here. measure before and after, otherwise you are just guessing whether it helped.

Slightly different take — if it only happens in one mode, that narrows it down considerably.

Let us know which part worked.

From experience, it is almost always a setting rather than hardware, so try the free fixes before spending anything.

Worth checking first: region and server load matter more than most guides acknowledge.

Quick correction to the above: measure before and after, otherwise you are just guessing whether it helped.

Agreed on most of this, except the safe move is the reversible one — you can always undo it if it makes things worse.

Had the exact same issue. verify the files before anything else; it catches more problems than people expect.

Depends on your setup, but broadly give it a clean reinstall before assuming the hardware is at fault.

Had the exact same issue. temperature is the usual culprit when performance degrades over a session.

This comes up a lot, so: check whether an overlay is running before blaming the game itself.

Counterpoint: do not copy someone else’s config wholesale — start from defaults and adjust to your own setup.

This comes up a lot, so: worth testing on a second account to rule out something profile-specific.

Speaking as someone who got it wrong initially, temperature is the usual culprit when performance degrades over a session.

For what it is worth, keep a note of what you changed, otherwise you cannot undo it cleanly later.

I went through this last month. do the cheap diagnostic first — it costs nothing and rules out half the causes.
