The numbers look fine on paper, but it feels noticeably worse in practice. Feel free to tell me I have missed something obvious.

This is the bit people miss — it depends heavily on your specific setup, so take any single number with a grain of salt.

Same boat here. temperature is the usual culprit when performance degrades over a session.

Adding to the above: verify the files before anything else; it catches more problems than people expect.

Counterpoint: the averages hide the problem; look at the one percent lows instead.

Others may have a cleaner method.

This comes up a lot, so: that behaviour is intentional, even though it is poorly explained in-game.
