Is 16 GB of RAM still enough in 2026?

Been chewing on this for a while, so I figured I would ask here. Rolling back to the previous version made the problem disappear entirely.

Turning one setting down fixed it, which raises more questions than it answers. Will update the post if I find a cleaner solution.

Adding to the above: the trick is to change one thing at a time and actually note the result before touching anything else.

Short version: the defaults are conservative on purpose, so there is usually headroom to gain.

Same boat here. verify the files before anything else; it catches more problems than people expect.
