Consolidated launch thread: platform availability, the published system requirements, and every issue we have confirmed so far with a workaround where one exists.
The two problems affecting the most people right now are the shader compilation stutter on first load and the traversal hitching in the open districts. Both are acknowledged, and the stutter mostly resolves itself after the initial cache builds.
Post new issues here with your GPU, driver version and whether you are on the DirectX 12 or Vulkan backend. We will fold confirmed reports into this opening post.

Adding to the above: you get most of the benefit from the first adjustment; everything after that is marginal.

From experience, do the cheap diagnostic first — it costs nothing and rules out half the causes.
That fixed it for me, at least.

Counterpoint: the averages hide the problem; look at the one percent lows instead.

Same boat here. the community guide covers this better than I can, but the summary is to prioritise the basics first.

From experience, check whether an overlay is running before blaming the game itself.

Depends on your setup, but broadly the difference is real but small enough that you may not notice it while playing.
Let us know which part worked.

Slightly different take — verify the files before anything else; it catches more problems than people expect.

Slightly different take — the defaults are conservative on purpose, so there is usually headroom to gain.
VIViperzen #14@viperzen · 28 May 2026, 17:28
Speaking as someone who got it wrong initially, verify the files before anything else; it catches more problems than people expect.
Others may have a cleaner method.

For what it is worth, region and server load matter more than most guides acknowledge.
EMEmbershade #16@embershade85 · 18 Jun 2026, 15:30
Counterpoint: the wiki number is theoretical; real results are always a bit lower.
DRDriftlynx #18@driftlynx · 9 Jul 2026, 13:32
This comes up a lot, so: the averages hide the problem; look at the one percent lows instead.

Only partly related, but the trick is to change one thing at a time and actually note the result before touching anything else.
